This is part 4 of a four-part series on trauma and dissociation. Each part of the series is a stand-alone training, but in it’s entirety the series will deepen the participant’s knowledge of assessing and treating trauma and dissociation in adults.  In Part 4, the focus will be on building resilience and the prevention of burnout of professionals through effective research based techniques.

Upon concluding this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify and understand the impact of burnout on professionals who work in the field of trauma and dissociation.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of resources and ways to build resilience with professionals who work in the field of trauma and dissociation

  • Build various skills for burnout prevention and management

 

Laila Narsi, LCSW, CMMT, EMDR Certified Consultant & Therapist, received her MSC at U of H GCSW in 1997. She specializes in CPTSD, Disassociate Identity Disorders, sexual assault, and personality disorders since the start of her career, she worked as director of both outpatient and inpatient Psychiatric hospitals in Houston then moved onto private practice. Some of the certifications Laila holds are  in EMDR Therapy, EMDR Consultant, Mindful Self-Compassion, Fierce Self-Compassion Course, International Mindful Meditation Professional Level. In 2022, along with Dr. Chris Germer at Harvard University, she co-developed the Self-Compassion for Shame Program which is globally taught. For the last 15 years, she also organizes and leads global retreats in person and virtual on topics of  mindfulness, MSC, Shame, Burn Out, and trauma in addition to sitting on the international board for CMSC’s DEIBJ committee.   Ms. Narsi is a dedicated advocate and volunteer for mental health not just in the Greater Houston Area, but globally as well.
